Reserve Bank of India, Mumbai Office is interested in soliciting Expression of Interest from vendors for supply and installation of Intel Pentium III Xeon Cluster Server with External Storage System (Branded)* from Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), their authorised channel partners and Service providers or system integrator partners, for Reserve Bank of India, Main Building, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Marg, Mumbai - 400001.

Only such vendors who fulfill the following criteria are eligible to send their applications:

Annual turnover of the vendor in the hardware segment should not be less than Rs.200 crores during the last two accounting years. The Company should be a profit making company during the last two accounting years. The vendor should have successfully executed a single order costing not less than Rs. 50 lakhs and similar to that of this tender in the preceding two years. A copy of firm purchase order should be enclosed as evidence.

The vendor should be the OEM or should hold the status of an Authorised service provider with proper infrastructure to provide requisite after sales service support or System Integrators for the OEM brand which they are quoting for. The vendor should have Sales/Support offices at multiple locations across the country.

1 General Instructions.

1.1 The System (s) should be from OEM having ISO 9000 or similar certification.

1.2. Application of Expression of interest to supply the Intel Pentium III Xeon Cluster Server with External Storage System (Branded)* received late and/or not submitted in the prescribed formats or in the prescribed manner, incomplete in any respect or not accompanied by prescribed documents are liable to be rejected.

1.3. The Application of Expression of interest complete in all respects, duly sealed and super scribed "Expression of interest to supply Intel Pentium III Xeon Cluster Server with External Storage System (Branded)* for RBI Mumbai Office" and addressed to the Regional Director, Reserve Bank of India. Main Building, 1st Floor, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Marg, Mumbai - 400 001 should be sent by hand delivery/ post/ courier to Information Technology Cell on the same address by 3.00 PM on or before 27^th . September 2002. Applications will be opened at 3.30 PM on the same day. Reserve Bank of India is not responsible for non-receipt of applications within the specified date and time due to any reason including postal delays.

1.4. The Application of Expression of interest should be accompanied by: Copy of the annual audited balance sheet for the last two accounting years, Copy of IT Clearance certificate and ST Clearance Certificate. Details of work done/systems supplied to RBI during the preceding two years should be mentioned separately. A statement showing work executed by the vendor during the preceding two years along with the relevant certificate (s) and documents from their customers for whom such work was executed, Names and addresses of the Vendor’s bankers and clients, Letter from OEM that the vendor is an authorised reseller and service provider.

1.5. The decision of RBI in respect of evaluation of applications will be final.
