Reserve Bank of India, Department of Information Technology, Nagpur invites sealed quotations from the scrap dealers, other vendors for Sale of Unserviceable Computer Hardware and Peripherals lying with the Bank. Vendors desirous of participating in the tender should apply in the prescribed format so as to ensure that the application reaches the Regional Director, Department of Information Technology, Reserve Bank of India, 15, Raghvendra Rao Road, Civil Lines, Nagpur – 440001 not later than 1.00 P.M. on 13.03.2009.

1.         Pre-bid survey of the items shall be carried out by the vendors on any working day during working hours by prior appointment only. The quotation, shall, then be submitted in the prescribed format before the due date and time, with the price bids for the individual items duly filled in.  Incomplete quotations shall be summarily rejected.
The format of the Tender is enclosed as ANNEXURE - I.

2.      The bidder should enclose a sum of Rs.5,000/- (Rupees Five Thousand only)  as EMD in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of  “Reserve Bank of India”,  payable at Nagpur, along with the quotation. The quotation without EMD shall be summarily rejected. The EMD of unsuccessful tenderers shall be returned on finalization of the highest bidder (H1).

3.         The tenders in the prescribed format shall be submitted in a sealed envelope super scribed as ‘Tender for Sale of Unserviceable Computer Hardware and Peripherals’, addressed by name to Shri C.C.Mitra, Regional Director, Reserve Bank of India, Department of Information Technology, 15, Raghvendra Rao Road, Nagpur – 440 001  up to 1:00 p.m. on 13.03.2009. Any  quotations received after this date and time shall be summarily rejected.

4.         The sealed quotations shall be opened at 3.00 P.M. on the same day in the presence of the bidders or their authorized representatives who choose to be present.

5.         The successful bidder has to deposit the total price in the form of a Demand Draft drawn in favour of “Reserve Bank of India”, payable at Nagpur within 3 days of notifying the acceptance  of  the offer by the Bank, failing which the offer shall be deemed as invalid.

6.         The EMD of the successful bidder shall be refunded after lifting of all the items on ‘as is where is’ basis from the premises of the Bank, failing which the amount shall be forfeited. The delivery of the  items should be taken at the cost of the buyer.

7.         The Bank reserves the right to accept or reject any or all of the offers received
without assigning any reason there for.
